Upper Grange is a territory of Ivykeep, located on the north-east shores of the Kingdom. Its capital is Croftley, and the area is known for its agricultural output.
Upper Grange is bordered by Olive Arch to the west and The Badlands (formerly Lower Grange) to the south. The landscape consists of large swathes of farmland, broken by steep ravines and gullies leading north to the ocean shore.
Upper Grange is one of Ivykeep's two main agricultural territories, alongside Heartland. Its primary export is agricultural, mostly crops.
The soil in the region is the most fertile across the whole kingdom, but the temperatures are to low for crops to grow unassisted. Farmers use several methods to get around this. A vast irrigation network delivers warm water from the state-subsidized Croftley Thermal Pumphouse to fields throughout the territory. Large baffles are positioned in ravines to prevent cold sea air from traveling inland, although the dilapidatedstate of these baffles is a looming threat to residents. Hot air from the Badlands is also pumped into the territory's southern regions.
