Vanta is a territory of Ivykeep governed by the crime syndicate of the same name and controlled from its fortified capital fortress, the Annex.

The Vanta crime group has always had strong operations in south/southeast Ivykeep, including fraud, theft, smuggling, and extortion. While the Crown is not known to have actively participated in these activities, it was long known that Vanta pad a significant amount of money to authorities to prevent interference. When this became more widely known, government officials who enjoyed the benefits of this agreement suggested incorporating Vanta as an official territory to “officialize” such payments as taxes. In this agreement Vanta was given full reign over their new land, including the right to override many otherwise ubiquitous laws (especially involving firearms). In return, the group would pay a significant amount of taxes to the Crown, more so than any other territory. The group, already boasting great wealth from their illegal activities, agreed to these terms.

The territory was expropriated from several existing territories, primarily Lowlands. This led to a large amount of unrest in Lowlands, and is a primary driver of the territory's general anti-government sentiment to this day.

A separate, smaller, plot of land, on the border of Blossom Valley and Upper Grange, was also provided to Vanta as a location for a capital and stronghold.
