Oubliette, colloquially referred to as “The Pit”, is a prison work camp located in a 650m deep vertical mine shaft. Oubliette is used to inter prisoners of the state as well as being one of the Crown's largest mining operations. Conditions within the Pit are infamously harsh, and it is generally considered the harshest punishment in Ivykeep's penal system short of death.

The prison is located on Dodgy Rock in the East Badlands, an area rich with mineral deposits. Prisoners work long hours to deepen Oubliette and transfer valuable ores back to the surface for processing.
