Kelvin Bomb
The Kelvin Bomb is a Quinta-based explosive device designed by Castle Bravo. When activated it gradually collects energy from the surrounding area, resulting in a super-cooling effect within a set radius. When the bomb has reached full energy capacity it detonates, releasing all stored energy nearly instantaneously.
Uses
Due to the somewhat unpredictable effects of the cooling effect, Kelvin Bombs are rarely used in actual combat. Instead, most are delivered to EastRock Electric's Miller-Penstock Generation Plant for use in the power generation system.
Variants
After a Utopia attack on the Miller-Penstock Generation Plant secured a Kelvin Bomb, resistance technologists began producing smaller versions referred to as Kelvin Grenades. These have a cooling radius of around 2 metres and a blast radius of around 3 metres, and are most effective against individuals or small groups.
