Blackstool is a species of mushroom which once grew naturally throughout Ivykeep. If properly prepared, the Quinta-rich spores contained within a blackstool specimen can be processed to produce Black Dawn, a highly psychoactive substance. Do to potentially empowering properties of Black Dawn, cultivation of Blackstool is strictly forbidden outside of the King of Ivykeep's inner circle.

The largest concentration of blackstool exists within the Arcanium, where it is used exclusively and liberally by the Arch-Mage.
