Upper Grange is bordered by [[olive_arch|Olive Arch]] to the west and [[The Badlands|The Badlands]] (formerly Lower Grange) to the south. The landscape consists of large swathes of farmland, broken by steep ravines and gullies leading north to the ocean shore.

Upper Grange is one of [[kingdom_of_ivykeep|Ivykeep's]] two main agricultural territories, alongside [[heartland|Heartland]]. Its primary export is agricultural, mostly crops.

===Agriculture===
The soil in the region is the most fertile across the whole kingdom, but the temperatures are to low for crops to grow unassisted. Farmers use several methods to get around this. A vast irrigation network delivers warm water from the state-subsidized [[Croftley Thermal Pumphouse|Croftley Thermal Pumphouse]] to fields throughout the territory. Large baffles are positioned in ravines to prevent cold sea air from traveling inland, although the dilapidatedstate of these baffles is a looming threat to residents. Hot air from the Badlands is also pumped into the territory's southern regions.
