====== Station Zero ======

Station Zero is the deepest point on [[The Lift|the Lift]], and houses much of its mechanisms. Due to its secluded and easily defensible location, the station is used as a key communication hub for [[the_messengers|the Messengers]]. Electrical signals are [[cable tapping|cable-tapped]] up the lift cables, where they are decoded by Messenger stations at various locations.

=== Location ===
The station is located within [[cuesta|Cuesta]], in a natural cavern. The cavern is surrounded by a network of abandoned mining tunnels which lead far deeper into the rock. Attacks from tunnel wildlife pose a significant threat to the station, and Utopia guards work closely with the cable-tappers to protect the settlement.

=== Residents ===
Station Zero primarily houses Messenger operatives and lift mechanics, and the activities of the cable-tappers is supposed to be kept secret from the mechanics. However, many have some idea of what is taking place but choose to ignore it as the presence of [[utopia_project|
resistance]] guards greatly increases the safety of the station and the mechanisms.
